Welcome
I am an experienced instructional designer/technical writer located in the NW suburbs of Chicago. With a Masters in Learning Technologies, I am well versed in traditional instructional design theories such as Bloom's Taxonomy, Kirkpatrick's Levels of Evaluation and experienced with structured development methodologies such as ISD and ADDIE.
Being independent since 1993, I have had the opportunity to combine theory and practice into the design of efficient and cost-effective training and/or technical writing solutions for clients ranging from telecommunications and systems through manufacturing, services, retail and banking. Whether your need is for a partial training solution, a full-blown development effort or just a technical writer, I can work with you to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solution to meet the need.

Technical writing is a subset of every technical training development project. The difference between technical writers and instructional designers is our training. Along with extensive practice in different types of writing and communication, we are also trained in adult learning, structuring materials for best retention, and different presentation media.
